Giggle tactics....

So, given the fact that I have two young kids of my own, I am aware of a few simple words that elicit a giggle... and these two cuties were no exception! They laughed hysterically while I, Ms. Jamie, recited the word "butt" over and over again... (oh yes, I apologized to the parents as I visualized notes home from the preschool telling of inappropriate use of language in the classroom!) In fact, when it was all said and done, we were all giggling...at the word, each other and the plain silliness of it all!  Butt.... who knew? :)  I bet you did!

"Those Texas Bluebonnets, they smiled in the sun.."

Now a little romance in the wildflowers is good for the soul, and these boys just giggled in delight when their mom and dad stole a kiss or two... as did I!  Not to mention, Bluebonnet patches make for some awesome, all-challenging games of peek-a-boo!

"...Reminding me of my little darlin's blue eyes."

We jumped from Bluebonnets to a good ole fashioned family photo shoot for this adorable foursome!  And yes, I myself have marveled over and over about how this little girl's eyes match the brilliant blue of the Texas state flower!  Beautiful! But what was even cuter, was watching her little brother (almost 2) try to get away from her hugs and kisses :)

"They make all the meadows as blue as the skies..."

As luck would have it for this cloudy afternoon shoot, rain sprinkled just before we met up, leaving us yet another Bluebonnet patch all to ourselves!  And this busy threesome of brothers took advantage of the running space!  I may as well get rid of my YMCA membership since I get all the aerobics I need chasing kids... and that's SO MUCH MORE FUN than the gym!

"O're all the wide prairies, they're scattered like snow..."

This patch we had all to ourselves, and these brothers would have been content to sit in them and eat Smarties for the rest of the evening!  Holy cow are they cute or what?

"Those Texas Bluebonnets, how sweetly they grow..."

I had no idea what a Bluebonnet even was, until I moved to Texas and saw the scores of parents and photographers pulled over on the sides of the roads and in herds at the parks, tempting little ones into the patches to smile!  And now, wouldn't you know I'm one of them!  Here is a sampling of my playtime in the Texas wildflowers this spring!

This little man had just turned one...

A football stud and his truck...

Seniors are a blast to work with...  and after working with so many little kids, I find myself simply amazed that they sit still and take direction with ease and interest :)  Not to mention, it' s fun to see them on their way to a new adventure... sheepish grins, knowing smirks and a quiet confidence.  Oh, the places they'll go!

This senior was all boy: tough but gentlemanly and polite, rugged, athletic and king of the soft spot in his mama's heart.
